Nita Jo Haze

My Story

Nita Jo Haze is a Country/Gospel singer and songwriter. Born and raised in San Antonio, she always had a desire to perform on stage.

From a very young age Nita loved to perform. She would frequently sing with her step-father, Bob Crosby, and his band at the Polo Grill. They opened for greats such as Bob Wills and Hank Williams on more than one occasion.

After her marriage to Bob Herndon, Nita began writing and recording her music. She released her first album, You Can't Outfox A Fox, recorded and produced at the Buck Owens studio in Bakersfield, CA by Jim Shaw in 1983. She continued to write music and would later record her second album, Some Old Memories, Some Old Friends, which was finally released in 2011.

After many years, Nita, with the help of her family, have decided it's time to return the her musical roots. We've got a lot to share coming up. Including video performances, songs that have long since been forgotten and stories from her Cowboy Poetry. Stay tuned!
